Individual Therapy - 45 Minutes
Individual therapy is a joint process between a therapist and client in a safe, caring, and confidential environment. Every person deserves a safe space, free from judgment in which you can be seen, heard, and supported in a genuine way. Clients will be able to speak honestly and openly, observe behavioral patterns that may lead to feeling stuck, and implement change toward a more fulfilling life.
Group Therapy - 75 Minutes
Group therapy provides participants a powerful opportunity to share and learn from others in a safe and supportive environment while working toward healing and change.
Drama Therapy:
Drama therapy is the intentional use of drama and/or theater processes to achieve therapeutic goals. Through an active and experiential approach, the inner experience of each participant can be actively explored and interpersonal relationship skills can be enhanced. Drama therapy facilitates an interactive experience in which participants can engage with their thoughts and feelings utilizing a creative medium. Drama therapy may include activities such as: role play, psychodrama, embodied movement, sculpture, improvisational acting, and monologues. The main goals of a drama therapy group is to promote positive behavioral change, increase self-esteem, improve interpersonal relationship skills, achieve personal growth and self-awareness, and enhance the overall quality of life of each participant.
Body Image:
The objectives of the group include gaining insight into the relationship with one's body, connecting with one’s body, and how eating disorder behaviors and urges are often a result of the way in which emotions manifest in one's physical body. The group will promote body acceptance, helping clients to recognize the beliefs and feelings that may have led to negative body-image and disordered eating patterns.
Eating Disorder Treatment
After an initial consultation and evaluation, a highly individualized treatment plan is implemented to meet each client’s unique needs in recovery. An integrative model is utilized in individual eating disorder treatment, including Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), Talk Therapy, Experiential Therapy, Mindfulness, and Exposure Therapy. Ongoing communication and collaboration is provided with all members of your treatment team.
Professional Consultation for Corporations and Educational Facilities
Professional workshops are offered in different settings, including school settings focusing on body image, self-esteem & anti-bullying as well as in corporate settings focusing on team building and facilitating innovation and creativity in the workplace.
Clinical Supervision
As a New York State licensed creative arts therapist, clinical supervision is offered to reflect on and review clinical situations with the aim of supporting the clinician in their professional environment. The intention is promote the development of counseling skills, as well as address ethical issues surrounding clinical work.
